The first online operational meeting to improve the implementation of the European Credit system for Vocational Education and Training (ECVET) within the Skillman.eu network was held on the past 2nd of April by the Skillman board.
The ECVET Secretariat participated in the online meeting represented by the experts Karin Luomi-Messerer and Monika Auzinger. The two ECVET experts, that work as team leader and project manager at the 3s Unternehmensberatung (Austria), agreed to provide support to the Skillman.eu network’s activities.
In the first place, they will provide feedback on the curriculum templates that have been developed and distributed among the members by checking their alignment with the ECVET principles. Suggestions and guidelines on how to boost the application of these principles to the curricula are also expected.
For this purpose, a series of meetings have already been scheduled.
In the second place, the ECVET experts will attend the Skillman annual conference that will be held the 10 and 11 of October 2019 in Florence to carry out a presentation on the potential topic of ‘Using ECVET to support excellence in VET’.
The agreements undertaken with the Secretariat will lead to signing a memorandum of understanding between Skillman and the ECVET Secretariats.
