Kayseri Hrriyet Anatolian Technical and Vocational High School is a comprehensive school which has the following departments:
-Industrial Automation Engineering
-Electical and Electronical Engineering
-Furniture and Interior design Engineering
-Metal Engineering department
-Motor vehicle Engineering
The school has 192 teachers and trainers and 3000 students. 650 of these students has evening and weekend classes and get special educations in their selected fields. The students ages are between 15-19.
The school has national wide successes in technical competitions and projects. Students are active and volunteer for such activities.
Beside technical lessons, the following lessons are also being thought in classes:

-Religious and Ethic
Our school is a vocational high school which provide education and internships on different branches as: -Industrial Automation Engineering,ICT Engineering,Electical and Electronical Engineering,Furniture and Interior design Engineering,Metal Engineering department, MachineEngineering, Motor vehicle Engineering
In school we try to involve all our students to our after school clubs and activities.
In national wide projects we have achievements and in international area we did some partnership projects like LDV and Comenious projects. In 2014 Erasmus+ School Educational staff Mobility we also achieved a project with the name of ”Continuous Professional Development in the Use of ICT Tools in Collaborative, Project-Based Teaching and Learning” in Netherland with 18 participants for seven days. Beside it our school also have a sport club and we are ruling a sport project of Brussels based one in the Not for Profit Programme with 12 other European Countries under the Italian Sport Ministry coordination. In Turkey we are the only organisaiton which achieved such a project in the programme of NOT FOR PROFIT SPORT EVENT. The project name is: European Integrated sport. 21 athletes with disables will take part in sportic olympics in Italy with other 300 atheltes from 20 organisaitons from differen 12 European countries in 12 different Italian venue-cities for 4 days. This project was selected among 409 applications and only three projects are approved alongside the European countries.
We also host students and teachers from abroad in different departments for their projects and internships. We use new developed technologies in education and other activities. In our school we also provide education for adults at weekends and evenings in different social topics and vocational area.
For this project we have experienced teachers and management staffs who can do valuable contributions to the projects in all aspects: both in project implementations, activities and creativitieness and dissemination and evaluation.
We have ICT department and almost 500 students study in this department. For this project we want our teachers and students develope new links with foreign students and get new skills for their department and future jobs.
Our students are from disadvantageous group as many of them coming from poor and mostly divorced families. Those students who comes from divorced families has big physiological and behavioral problems. They need a regular support from professional therapies.
The other biggest problem is the students’ unemployed families. Unemployment cause big problems inside homes and results in divorcements. These main problems, unfortunately, have very big bad effects on our students’ life and finally they lose their motivations towards education and their lives.
In our school we have SEN students WHO has diffuculty in understanding, learnings. Some of our students are physically disables and some are mentally.
We try to craete much more opprotunities to get well and have a learning condition.
Our school’s main idea is to create new opportunities for these kinds of students to explore and refresh themselves, to gain new abilities and chances for their further life. European projects is a big chance for our students to interact with their European peers, explore new things, learn and live, create new bridges among their foreign friends, develop their linguistic, digital and cultural competences. With this project both students and teachers will endwise their horizons and learn new things which brings a self confidence and new experiences to their lives.
Beside the above explanations, the violence and addiction to harmful materials are arising paralleling the economical bad situation in our country. This is a frightening situation for us and we need to overcome with it. We want to have our teachers and students get benefits from European projects and give a hope to our new generations for their future. Via this project our students and teachers will get benefits and take participation in international activites and develop their linguistic,digital and cultural competences.
