The Hope Festival of Futures, hosted by Liverpool Hope University, is a vibrant platform celebrating ideas and innovation. This unique event brings together global themes such as AI, social justice, and sustainability, while fostering collaboration and critical thinking among participants. The festival is a melting pot for researchers, educators, and innovators eager to address the grand challenges of our time. The Skillman Network proudly supports this festival as an opportunity for inspiration and the exchange of transformative ideas.
This year’s festival marks a milestone in the collaboration between Liverpool Hope University and the Skillman Network. A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) will be signed, symbolising a strengthened partnership dedicated to advancing education and innovation. This pivotal agreement, championed by Craig Marsh, reflects his unwavering commitment to building a concrete bridge between the two organisations. The MOU is not just an agreement but a vision for future initiatives aimed at fostering creativity and excellence in education.
In addition to the MOU signing, members of the Skillman Network will actively contribute to the festival’s intellectual landscape. Giovanni Crisonà, president of Skillman, will present "Exploring DQF.eu: Skillman’s Digital Qualification Framework and Digital Badges – A Hands-On Live Test to Unveil Educational Value and Benefits" on Tuesday, 3rd December, during the Challenge: People and Place Futures session at Venue i3B 202. This session will offer participants a practical exploration of digital credentials and their role in transforming education.
On Wednesday, 4th December, Urs Hauenstein will present "Internationalization for the Futures in a Nutshell" during the Challenge: Sustainable Futures session at Venue EDEN 104. His insights will delve into the role of internationalisation in shaping sustainable educational practices.
The MOU signing and the impactful presentations by Crisonà and Hauenstein underscore the Skillman Network’s dedication to innovation and collaboration. By participating in the festival, Skillman aims to inspire educators and learners to think beyond boundaries and engage with the pressing challenges of the future. Together with Liverpool Hope University, the network is committed to creating transformative solutions that leave a lasting impact on education and society.
