SIF 2023
SKILLMAN INTERNATIONAL FORUM
redefining the future of learning...
THE PLANET OF SKILLS
RENEWED PERSPECTIVE ON NETWORKING POTENTIAL
Like every year, the forum is part of a long journey in skills development where international keynote contributors, sponsors, partners, and participants work together to achieve common goals aiming at improving education and TVET.
The annual forum was organised in Latvia in partnership with the Latvian Ministry of Education and Science - as part of the European Year of Skills, in collaboration with Europea Latvia, the European Training Foundation and the Asian Development Bank.
The 2023 Forum payed specific attention to the potential of global networking as a resource for co-creating our common knowledge. It aimed at addressing the emerging megatrends for a future society in which any qualification has a role, and where microcredentials may have a crucial role in response to the new emerging skills demands.
The local responses to the global trends have been considered by an additional emphasis on green and digital transition and innovative approaches from various perspectives, and with the needs of active citizenship in mind.
Skillman International Forum 2023 appeals to TVET trainers, teachers, education managers, students, and school directors by offering opportunities for professional growth, knowledge sharing, networking, and staying abreast of the latest trends and practices in skills development.
Participants attending the Skillman International Forum 2023 had a unique opportunity to visit selected prestigious vocational training institutes in Latvia. These visits offered firsthand experiences and insights into the institutes' innovative approaches, advanced facilities, and cutting-edge training methods. Participants could witness the high-quality education provided by these institutions and draw inspiration for enhancing vocational training practices in their own countries.
