OUR SWOST PROJECT THAT TACKLES GENDER DISCRIMINATION IN SPORTS KICKED OFF!

Officially our SWOST project has kicked off! The launching of the project was hosted online by lead applicant CSCS, on January 18th, 2021. The meeting served to bring all project partners together and officially launch the activities of the project. The first meeting was dedicated to general project implementation issues among partners from Italian Centro Giovanile di Formazione Sportiva (CGFS) in Prato, the Università degli Studi di Verona, the Vrije Universiteit Brussels (VUB), the University of Montenegro, the Lapland University of Applied Sciences, the LSIIDP, Latvia, ILEPS, France, Kahramanmaraş Sutcu Imam University, Turkey, University of Belgrad and the UEFA Foundation for Children. In a nutshell, SWOST project is aiming to encourage social inclusion and equal opportunities in sport and increasing participation in, and equal access to sports, tackling gender stereotyping and any discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity in sports.
During this online meeting, the lead applicant (CSCS) has set up the project’s milestones and presented its objectives. All the partners were given the opportunity to present their organization& activities and expertise. The details regarding the project management, time-schedule, promotion, dissemination strategy, communication, evaluation, and reporting were set up by the consortium.
