Preparatory Meeting for the BS4INNO Project
A Promising Start for Business Succession Innovation

We are excited to share the successful completion of the preparatory meeting for the BS4INNO (Business Succession for Innovation) project, funded under the Erasmus+ programme. This milestone marks the beginning of an impactful journey towards addressing the challenges of business succession planning in Europe.

As a representative of the Skillman Secretariat, I had the honour of participating in this foundational event. Skillman will play a central role by hosting and disseminating the project’s educational content on our platform, learn.skillman.eu. This initiative aims to support the upskilling of professionals in business succession planning by focusing on digital skills, competences, and innovative tools.

The BS4INNO project, which involves partners from Greece, Italy, Cyprus, Belgium, and Slovakia, will run for 24 months starting in February 2025. The project seeks to develop an occupational profile for Business Succession Planners, create a training curriculum, and launch an online educational platform. It addresses a critical issue: inefficiencies in business transfers that threaten approximately 150,000 firms and 600,000 jobs across Europe each year. By equipping professionals with the necessary skills and tools, BS4INNO aims to secure jobs, strengthen enterprise sustainability, and promote intergenerational business continuity.

We look forward to the progress of BS4INNO and invite you to stay connected for updates as we work to empower SMEs and foster innovation in vocational education and training.
