Three new projects have been submitted thanks to the Skillman Network and the collaboration of several partners.

The project proposal ‘SAM 4.0’, lead by CSCS, was submitted last February 2018 in order to receive financial support from the Erasmus+ programme.
It is a strategic cooperation in the Additive Manufacturing sector, involving 23 partners among which industry leaders like FIAT FCA, vet providers, universities, networks (e.g. Cumulus) and 48 associated partners from 33 countries.
The project aims at generating innovation in the VET system, creating new joint European curricula for new professions in the sector and elaborating transferrable and accessible solutions for the VET system aligned with the EU standards.

SKILLMAN IoRT 4.0

The project proposal ‘SKILLMAN IoRT 4.0’ tackles the convergence between robotics and the internet of things and was also submitted last February 2018 in order to receive financial support from the Erasmus+ programme.

The strategic cooperation in the advanced manufacturing sector, involves 15 full partners and 27 associated partners from 14 european countries and 7 extra-EU countries. Among full partners it includes 4 companies, industry representatives and relevant sectoral organisations and 11 Educational and Training provider, Higher Educational institution or Research Centre.
One of the most important problems addressed by SKILLMAN IoRT 4.0 is the EU system capacity of foresighting in the fields of education, training and skills in order to reduce the persistent gap between the skills needed in the labour market and those offered by the workforce.

SKILLMAN IoRT 4.0 valorizes the results of the previous Sector-based projects, with the aim to increase the talent pool approach to support the adaptation of the workforce.
This proposal is willing to upscale the influence of the set of innovative curricula, tools and resources designed by Skillman consortium for the education at a paneuropean stage and to spread its results to the systemic level within the advanced manufacturing sector.

ARMENIAN SKILLMAN 4.0

Finally the project proposal ‘ARMENIAN SKILLMAN 4.0’, submitted last April 2018, aims at reinforcing the Armenian VET system in order to reduce the mismatch among education and industry’s needs and provide specific solutions to make VET system more adaptable to employment challenges and technological evolution.

In addition the proposal addresses the enhancement of the quality of vocational education and training, the reduction of the gap between the worlds of education and business and the improvement of the credibility and attractiveness of the VET system among young people involving them directly and actively in the development and implementation.
