International Forum on Skills Intelligence (IFSI) in Post-Secondary and Higher Education

This July, the Unit for Labour Market Analysis of the Open University of Catalonia (UOC) is launching the International Forum on Skills Intelligence (IFSI) in Post-Secondary and Higher Education, a virtual event taking place July 2–3, 2025.

The IFSI is set to become a vital platform for global collaboration, bringing together researchers, educators, policymakers, and practitioners who operate at the intersection of education, employment, and labour market intelligence. With rapid transformations driven by technological change, climate transition, and demographic shifts, the need to understand and anticipate skill requirements has never been more critical.

The forum aims to foster international exchange on how skills intelligence - data, analysis, and insight about current and future labour market trends - can be effectively used to inform curriculum design, institutional strategies, and policy decisions. By aligning educational pathways with evolving workforce needs, post-secondary institutions can better equip learners for successful and sustainable careers.

Hosted virtually, the event will offer participants a rich program of keynote talks, panel discussions, case studies, and collaborative sessions focused on innovative tools and practices in the field. The forum also provides a unique opportunity to build networks among institutions and experts committed to enhancing the relevance and responsiveness of higher education systems worldwide.
