The fourth Policy Learning Forum on VET Teachers and Trainers, hosted by Cedefop, marks an important milestone with the official launch of the European Vocational Teacher Survey (EVTS).
The continuing professional development (CPD) of vocational education and training (VET) teachers and trainers is widely acknowledged as essential for improving their skills, teaching performance, and overall well-being. Yet, comparable data on the effectiveness, challenges, and driving forces of CPD across the EU remains limited. The EVTS aims to fill this gap by providing comprehensive insights into these critical areas.
Participants at the event include members of the EVTS Stakeholder Group - around 100 experts who have been actively supporting the planning and implementation of the survey.
The forum will offer an opportunity to explore the scope and goals of the EVTS and to engage in discussions on urgent issues affecting VET professionals. Topics will include teacher shortages, workload, working conditions, career development, and access to high-quality CPD, including training focused on inclusion and the digital and green transitions.
Skillman President Giovanni Crisona will join the panel to share his perspectives on the EVTS, reflecting the voices of VET providers.
