On June 11th, 2020, the Skillman Alliance hosted the “Skills and Education Guarantee Pilot (S&E Pilot)" webinar, presented by the European Investment Fund (EIF) and aimed at introducing financing initiatives implemented by the organization on behalf of the European Commission to stimulate investments in education, training and skills. 

In line with the EC policy objective to invest in EU quality and inclusive education, training and lifelong learning, EIF, through the S&E Pilot, aims at addressing funding gaps and facilitating access to finance by providing a portfolio guarantee free of charge to financial intermediaries to incentivize lending. Financial Intermediaries (FIs) have to be EU-based institutions and can be banks & financial institutions and organizations supplying education & training. The final beneficiaries to be financed are students and learners, enterprises investing in skills and organizations supplying education & training or developing projects in the field of education.
