On June 17, 2020, a webinar dedicated to Knowledge Alliances in the Maritime Sector took place in the framework of a set of 18 online events that the Skillman Alliance is hosting with the purpose to establish solid partnerships for future EU project proposals.
The main speaker Elena Romanini, Skillman Senior Project Manager, presented the main objectives and features of the Erasmus+ Knowledge Alliances, which aim at strengthening Europe’s innovation capacity and at fostering innovation in higher education and business through transnational and result-driven activities.
The webinar focused on the maritime sector, which has crucial importance in modern societies and where innovation can play a key role in terms of sustainability, novel materials, ICT integration and new skills for emerging jobs. (Presentation materials here). Key participants from different countries attended the webinar, which included also an interactive session.
Joint “word clouds” have been developed as a part of a brainstorming process about the main innovative features in the maritime sector and its most important technologies and relevant emerging skills.
The webinar can be considered the kick-off of a longer brainstorming process, which foresees the involvement of key stakeholders from the higher education and business world. The objective is to create working groups and partnerships to jointly develop successful EU project proposals.
A joint workspace has already been set up. Please contact us at secretariat@skillman.eu if you wish to join and start working together on Knowledge Alliances in the maritime sector project proposals.
