What are the Ethical Skills Award?

The Skillman Ethical Skills Awards recognizes and celebrates examples of excellence in activation of ethical skills in the field of the advanced manufacturing across environments and cultures.

Do you have to take part?

It is up to you to decide whether to participate in one of the Ethical Skills Award. If you want to take part, you can keep this information and withdraw from participating in the Ethical Skills Award at any time by contacting us at Secretariat@skillman.eu without giving a reason and without it affecting you. If you decide to withdraw, you will be asked what you wish to happen to the data you have provided to that point.

Who is organising and funding this activity?

The Ethical Skills Awards are performed by cscs.it and funded voluntarily by the participants and the Skillman members.

As this activity involves the processing of personal data, it is subject to data protection rules as established by EU Directive 95/46/EC and EU Directive 2002/58/EC, in each case as transposed into domestic legislation of each Member State of the European Economic Area

(“EEA”) and in each case as amended, replaced or superseded from time to time, including without limitation by the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (“GDPR”) and any data protection laws substantially amending, replacing or superseding the GDPR following any exit by the United Kingdom from the European Union, or, and to the extent applicable, the data security or data privacy laws of any other country.

What will happen to your personal data?

Data Processor or its trusted representatives will use the provided personal data to aid the organisation of the annual forums, to invite you to next editions and for the purpose of registration and participant lists. The processing operations on personal data linked to the management of this forum are necessary for the functioning of the European Commission as mandated by the Treaties, and more specifically by Articles 5 and 13 TEU and Articles 244 – 250 TFEU.

Data Controller and Data Processor will not:

  • store or disclose your IP address or geolocation to other parties.
  • treat your data individually, but analyse only in an aggregated form, anonymously, together with all other contributions.
  • publish or disclose your data to any party other than to the Skillman Secretariat

What will happen to the results of the award?

Data Processor will generate a report of the results for the Skillman Secreatariat. Selected entries are permanently recorded in the Skillman Ethical Skills Awards Yearbook.

What technology is being used as part of the registration form?

For the purpose of this forum, the Data Processor will use airtable.com to collect forum responses. This is a well-established online management platform.

Who has access to your information and to whom is it disclosed?

Access to all personal data as well as all information collected in the context of this registration form is only granted through User Id/Password to the Skillman Secretariat without prejudice to a possible transmission to the bodies in charge of monitoring or inspection task in accordance with Community legislation. These users are team members of the Data Controller.

No data is transmitted to parties which are outside the recipients and the legal framework mentioned. Neither Data Controller or Data Processor will share personal data with third parties for direct marketing purposes.

How do we safeguard your personal data?

The collected personal data and all information related to the above-mentioned consultation are stored on secured and protected servers of the Data Processor.

Data Processor implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure a level of security and confidentiality appropriate to the risk. All the information that are collected about you during the organisation of the forum will be kept strictly confidential. Confidentiality will be respected subject to legal constraints and professional guidelines. Confidentiality will be respected unless there are compelling legal or legitimate reasons for this to be breached. If this was the case, we would inform you of any decisions that might limit your confidentiality.

How can you verify, modify or delete your information?

According to Regulation (EC) 2018/1725, you are entitled to access your personal data and rectify, block or delete it in case the data is inaccurate or incomplete. You can exercise your rights by contacting the support team at:

How long do we keep your data?

As the awards repeat every year, your personal data will remain in the Data Processor’s database until the last annual award has taken place and the follow-up activities have been completed. Each year you will be invited to the next annual awards and you will be allowed to delete your data at any moment. Personal data will be anyway deleted, at the latest, 1 year after the last awards action in relation to the public information and communication campaign was conducted.
